Many Palestinian students currently enrolled at the University of Alberta are facing acute disruptions—financial, academic, and emotional—as their families and home institutions continue to experience turmoil.
To provide meaningful, immediate support, we are launching a fundraising initiative with a target of $5,000, which will qualify for matching funds through the Government of Alberta. Every dollar raised will go twice as far in helping these students continue their education and rebuild stability in their lives.
How Funds Will Be Used
Funds collected will be distributed directly to affected students through a simple and compassionate process. Enrolled Gazan students will be invited to submit a short, two-paragraph introduction outlining their background, study or training goals, and current needs. On this basis, small, targeted grants will be provided to assist with essentials such as textbooks, housing, food, transportation, or technology. This ensures that funds are allocated swiftly and equitably to those most in need.

How to Contribute
Your participation—whether through a donation, volunteering, or attending events—will make a direct impact. Together, we can provide a measure of stability for scholars committed to continuing their education under extraordinary hardship, and demonstrate our shared values of compassion, community, and academic freedom.
