Mahmuda Ali
Mahmuda
has
been a member of the board since 1994 when this society was the regional
office of MAP. Mahmuda
brings
to this society her immense knowledge in project development and
management. She has been instrumental in securing funds to make
our projects possible and in applying for and obtaining matching
grants. Mahmuda has also done a considerable amount of work in the
field, accompanying Karen on several trips to monitor and evaluate our
projects abroad.
Mahmuda was
a
Senior
Manager with Alberta Government in the Department of Alberta
Infrastructure. She
spent a one year leave of absence (1999-2000) in El-Bireh, Palestine
where she was
under
contract with the PRCS. There she worked on institution building,
developing management systems and human resource development
as the Palestinian Authority continues the infrastructure and
institution building that it began after the signing of the Oslo Peace
Accord. Currently, she on assignment with UN coordinating and
assisting in food aid delivery to refugee camps in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
